Throughout the pack, you can find a variety of participative activities for students aged 7-14.
This Shakespeare Lives schools’ pack was created by the British Council in partnership with the Royal Shakespeare Company to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death in 2016.

Shakespeare for schools
Over the last 13 years the Shakespeare Schools Festival charity has enabled over 100,000 8–18 year olds of all abilities and disabilities to perform half-hour abridged Shakespeare plays in professional theatres.
In the most fundamental way the Shakespeare Schools Festival introduces a new generation of young people to Shakespeare’s work and the magic of live theatre. It gives access to what is often perceived as an elitist art form. It empowers young people and their communities to own Shakespeare’s language and stories.

The Rose Theatre is proud to be part of the Shakespeare Schools Festival, in partnership with Shakespeare Schools Foundation.
See Shakespeare’s timeless stories brought to life like you’ve never experienced before, and support young people from your local community as they take to the stage.
